Terms

The terms of working together.

Last updated: October 15, 2026. This page explains how BusinessFuel delivers our design, build, and care services — what we expect from each other, and how we keep things clear and fair.

Our services

BusinessFuel designs, builds, and maintains bespoke websites for businesses that want to grow. Our work is custom — no templates, no shortcuts — and tailored to your brand, goals, and audience. Any ongoing updates and care happen on the schedule we agree to for your project.

Project scope

Every engagement starts with a clear scope: the deliverables, timeline, and revisions included. We outline what's in scope before work begins, and anything outside of it is quoted separately. We'll always tell you up front if a request falls outside the agreed scope so there are no surprises.

Payment

Project fees and any ongoing care plans are agreed in writing before we start. Deposits and milestones are due as outlined in your proposal. Ongoing care is billed on the schedule we set together. All fees are non-refundable once work has begun, except where required by law.

Your responsibilities

To deliver our best work, we need timely feedback, the assets and access we request, and decisions when we ask for them. Delays in providing materials or approvals may shift timelines — we'll always communicate those shifts as they happen.

Intellectual property

Once a project is paid in full, the finished website and its custom design are yours. We retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio and marketing unless you ask us not to in writing. Third-party tools, fonts, and libraries we use remain the property of their respective owners and are licensed under their terms.

Revisions & care

Each project includes a set number of revision rounds, agreed in your proposal. Additional rounds are quoted at our standard rate. Ongoing care requests are handled on a priority turnaround, and we'll always let you know what to expect before we begin.

Limitation of liability

BusinessFuel is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of your website — including lost revenue, missed opportunities, or third-party service outages. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the work directly giving rise to the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services evolve. When we do, we'll change the date above and keep the current version on this page. Continued work with us after a change means you accept the updated terms.
